1. Why would I need your service?
Time is money and your time is valuable. Our service
is perfect for anyone with a busy schedule. We'll schedule
your pet's appointments and accompany them the entire visit.
Safety is our #1 concern. Better safe than sorry! Losing
a pet is every pet owner's worst nightmare. Our vehicles are designed to ensure complete control of your pet before they get out. |

 |
One size doesn't fit all. Large breeds may not fit comfortably in some vehicles. Our vehicles can accommodate pets of any size to
ensure a SAFE & COMFORTABLE ride.
Getting older can be painful. Ramps and other orthopedic
padding make traveling easier on injured pets. Stretcher service is
available for immobile dogs of any size.
Keep that new car looking new. No worry about hair or
mud and keep your upholstery in one piece.
2. What kind of vehicle will be transporting
my pet?
|
Our vehicles are specially customized to ensure
the safest, most comfortable ride. All crates are
FAA approved and are outfitted with cushioned
mats and soft pads. Our vehicles are climate
controlled and remote thermometers allow us to
monitor the temperature of each area. If your pet
is not comfortable in crates, we can transport
them in our own spacious and secure front and
rear stalls.

 |
3. What area does your service cover?
We cover the Tri-State area (PA, NJ, DE).
4. What type of pets do you transport?
We transport all dogs and cats. We are also capable of transporting any domestic pet that can fit in our crate.
5. I am concerned that my pet may be exposed
to communicable diseases while being transported in your vehicles. What measures do you take to prevent the spread of communicable diseases?
It is standard practice to clean and disinfect our transport vehicles after each transport with KEN'L-LAN-128 , a one-step disinfectant germicidal detergent and deodorant effective against Canine Parvovirus, Feline Leukemia Virus, Canine Distemper, Rabies, Bordotella Bronchiseptica, Avian Polymoavirus, Feline Picornavirus, transmissible Gastroenteritus Virus and many other common forms of animal bacteria and viruses. In addition to cleaning and disinfecting our transport vehicles after each transport, we clean each vehicle with a diluted bleach solution on a weekly basis.
6. Can I ride with my pet to it's destination?
Yes of course you may ride with your pet, but due to the fact that our vehicles are primarily customized for pets they can only accomodate our driver and one other human passenger.
7. Does my pet need a collar or leash?
Canine Caddie does require pets to be outfitted with a collar, legible identification tag and can provide one if requested in advance. Canine Caddie handlers are equipped with leashes, harnesses, etc. for pet control. We reserve the right to request the removal of any collars, clothing or devices that may interfere with our ability to control the pet; including but not limited to: choker, chain, prong or loose fitting collars, electronic training devices, and bandanas. We use our own equipment because we are trained and experienced in using it and we ensure it is in good working order. Pet safety is our number one priority; our equipment is inspected and tested to ensure it's effectiveness.
8. Will you have to muzzle my pet?
Healthy pets that do not exhibit any signs of aggression will not need to be muzzled. If your pet needs to be physically assisted into the van, we may need to muzzle your pet temporarily. We can't always tell if or when an animal may be in pain, confused, or simply scared. Usually the muzzle is on less than 30 seconds before we have to put you pet safely in the van and then it can be removed. If your pet is sick or injured, Canine Caddie will make every attempt to transport your pet safely. Any animal that needs to be lifted or placed on a stretcher will be muzzled, regardless the level of consciousness or behavior. We do this to protect ourselves but also YOUR PET. If your pet, due to confusion, pain or fear were to bite a handler while being moved, we would no longer be in control. We understand it can be upsetting to see your pet muzzled, but it is the only way to safely and quickly load a pet into a vehicle. We use special plastic basket muzzles designed for veterinary hospitals: your pet will be able to open it's mouth and pant. In most cases we are able to remove the muzzle for the duration on the transport. If an animal displays aggressive behavior before we are able to muzzle them, we have different techniques and equipment that allows us to humanely handle and ultimately restrain your pet long enough to load them into the van. Canine Caddie has never nor would ever employ techiniques or equipment that may injure or be inhumane in any way to your pet.
